Our 2025 conference “Progress and Prospects for Climate-Resilient Agrifood Systems: Actionable Recommendations for Policymakers and Practitioners” captured the urgency and complexity of transforming agrifood systems in response to climate change, a topic very much front of mind for those involved in food and nutrition security.
We are pleased to have the full proceedings of the Crawford Fund for Food Security’s 2025 Annual Conference now available. You will also find individual papers listed under each of the presenters in our Speakers and Chairs section of the conference website.
These proceedings provide an enduring record of the keynote speeches, overview presentations and case studies, and includes all conference papers, and the Sir John Crawford Address.
The speakers’ presentations from the day were made available shortly after the event, as well as the Sir John Crawford Address by The Hon. Joel Andrew Fitzgibbon, Crawford Fund Board Member and Former Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and the Keynote Address, Achieving Universal Food Security in an Adversely Changing Climate, by Professor Glenn Denning, Professor of Professional Practice, Columbia University.
For those who were not able to attend, it was always our intention to share the insights from the event to provide actionable recommendations for policymakers, practitioners, and industry stakeholders, helping them navigate the challenges and opportunities of building climate-resilient agrifood systems. In doing so, we can create a future where food security and environmental sustainability go hand in hand, benefiting current and future generations alike.
The conference proceedings have been compiled and edited by Tania Paul. We thank her for her thoroughness and professionalism in delivering the final volume.
Once again, these proceedings will be made available through AgEcon Search, a free-to-user Web site that contains the full text of working papers, conference papers and journal articles; and through CAB Direct, a source of reference in the applied life sciences. These portals allow us further opportunity to spread the reach of the interesting and informative presentations from this important food security event.
Our 2026 Annual Conference will be held on 10 and 11 August. Stay tuned for further details of what will be another very special event bringing a focus on food and nutrition security.
